Outpatient Substance
Abuse
The
Adult and Juvenile Substance Abuse Treatment Program is designed to
serve specific target populations who have a substance abuse problem.
The goal is to intervene with appropriate services in the least
restrictive manner to ameliorate conditions and reduce the likelihood
for more intensive and restrictive services in the future.
Individual, group, family, and collateral therapy is available.

Anger Management
Targets
consumers who have been ordered by the court, referred from an outside
source, or wishes to voluntarily learn about anger management. The
BCCS Anger Management Intervention Program is a 12 hour course
designed to provide awareness of the effects of poorly managed
anger on the family; and to educate consumers about the underlying
antecedents of poorly managed anger.
Consumers will also be introduced to information about self-
control, taking responsibility, and improving self-expression,
negotiation skills,
goal
setting, and other life skills.
Consumers
meet in a group setting once a week for 12 weeks. A certificate is
awarded upon completion.

Shoplifting/Petty Theft
Designed
to give offenders insight into why they may have committed the
offense. This course
will help offenders deal with the guilt and embarrassment of their
offense to both themselves and other people he/she may care about.
Offenders will gain insight into the feelings and attitude
states that preceded the perpetration of the offense and the resulting
behavior. The offender
will take better control of their lives and make positive changes in
their lives.

Basic Driver Improvement

course targeting consumers who have received traffic violations or are
ordered by the court to attend a traffic collision avoidance course.
Consumers wishing to keep points off their driving records or reduce
auto insurance premiums may also voluntarily attend.

Driving While License
Suspended or Revoked
8
hour course targeting consumers who have been ordered by the court,
referred from an outside source, or wish to voluntarily attend an
educational course on driving while license is suspended. The
goal is to provide awareness of the effects of failure to comply with
traffic safety rules on the social system of the consumer.
